Title: User access to Primary domain
Post by: Michael Roed on May 14, 2003, 12:36:13 PM
How can I let another user than Admin access the Primary share?
I don“t want to let my users use the admin password just to edit my default site.

Thanx,
Michael.

Hi Michael,
I use FTP, just as I would on any other website. Leech FTP is a great free program, you can get it at : http://stud.fh-heilbronn.de/~jdebis/leechftp/downloads.html
First take a look at the announcement at: http://stud.fh-heilbronn.de/~jdebis/leechftp/
I use Leech for all my ftp requirements.  It allows users to log on and upload and download your files from the primary html folder, try it yourself before you let network users loose with it.
Hope this helps.
Regards,
Del

But a normal user has not the rights to write in the primary folder!
How do I specify who is able to do that?

You can also put your web site in an ibay and then use ibay group rights to control who has access to the web site in the ibay. Put a link in the primary site to the ibay and it will work OK.
