Title: PPTP Vs Nokia M11 Router
Post by: nick on May 15, 2003, 01:37:23 AM
I am having problems with VPN into the SME v5.5 (Update6) server.  I have created pinhole enties on the router for port 1723 to be forward to the server port 1723.  The extract setup on the router is as follows.

Name = VPN
Protocol = PPTP (But I have opened up TCP, UDP and ICMP as well)
Ext Port start = 1723
Ext Port end = 1723
Int IP Address = 192.168.1.1 (SME Server)
Int Port = 1723

Have I set this up right on the router,?

At the SME Server end I have increased the number of pptp clients to 1 under the remote access menu,

My client is XP Pro

I believe that you have to pinhole GRE port 43 too, but to be sure search these forums.

Add pinhole 43, with great results, I can now make a connection to the server.  Thanks for your prompt response.
