Title: How can I change my shared www permissions?
Post by: mike on May 15, 2003, 06:48:53 AM
I want to install PHP-Nuke but the root folder must be in the root of the shared web folder

(/home/e-smith/files/primary/)

When I try to extract them there it says I don't have permission. How can I make this work?

One advice, try e107 from e107.org instead....it's running better and faster then both postnuke and phpnuke on e-smith.  But ok, enough about that, you need to say "tar -zvxf nameofthetar.tar" in /home/e-smith/files/primary/
If it says you don't have a permission, then you don't have....you must login as root for this to work.  Hope it helps!
