Post by: Michael Roed on May 28, 2003, 03:10:45 PM
HELP!!!

I cannot access the server-manager via webbrowser or direct in the server concole via the textbased browser on my SME 5.6!

It happend after installing the vacation.rpm I found at http://www.greencomputer.com/vacation-how-to.html. I know it says that it is for 4.12 but I have used it before with success on 5.x.

Does anybody know what I can do???

Please help

Thx,
Michael.

What error do you get?

Try the command:
/etc/rc.d/init.d/httpd-admin restart

I have rebootet the whole server but that didnt help!

Perhaps it is a permissions issue with the admin code, or your admin password is incorrect?

What do the permissions in /etc/e-smith/web/functions and /etc/e-smith/web/panels/manager look like?

I dont know how to see that!!!

But it seems like everything is OK.

When I try to access the server manager via browser I do not get prompted for the user and password. It simply says HTTP 403 (Forbidden) right away!!!

Any other ideas please!?!?!?
