Title: DHCP on external interface won't send MAC address
Post by: Jeremy on May 30, 2003, 09:30:00 AM
I'm a newbie here, so bear with me. I have three SME Gateways (Gateway and Private Server setup) connected to three cable modems. The external interfaces are set to send the MAC address of the NIC in order to get a reserved IP address from our ISP's DHCP server. The problem is that the servers aren't sending the MACs, their sending some 20 character jibberish as a unique identifier. I've checked the setup and they are set to send the MAC address not login names.

Anyone have this happen and have a solution?

The latest update seems to have solved the problem. Never mind.
