Title: SME 5.6 and T-Online
Post by: Lars on May 30, 2003, 04:54:38 PM
Hi!

I have a great problem with sending mails to t-online-mail-accounts.

We connect via t-online-dsl-flat into the net. All works well, but mails to accounts like xyz@t-online.de can't deliver successfully. Delay-times from hours to days are normal!!
It seems, that SME is not able zu connect to the t-online-server...

Logs:
Sorry, I wasn't able to establish an SMTP connection. (#4.4.1)/I'm not going to try again; this message has been in the queue too long./

We use a normal account from an ISP.

Has anyone an idea, how to solve the problem?

My temporary solution: Sending mails to an T-Online-account over an other mailserver (Lansuite 2003).

works here without any problem, but I´m using the SMTP auth patch from Saco which is no more available from there and the SMTP Relay server from T-Online.

dito.

sorry for the german to all others

Hi!

Yes, we deliver the mails directly. It's not really important, but nice... :-)) I think the problem is solved. I try to setup the SME with another SMTP-Server... perhaps it works.

Its a mail-server-problem:
Some mailservers do not accept dynamic ip numbers.

Thanks to all!
