Hi!

I was just wondering, with e-smith can you create internet user accounts? Like for an example, after you have logged onto the network, can you customize it so it prompts you for another username and password to actually access the internet?

You're talking about Squid authentication, and yes, it's possible.  Just search the forums for Squid-Auth.

I use a gret rpm from Vincent (http://www.e-smith.dyndns.org/) it adds a nice panel for control, I have also got an addition to it to allow specification of IP's that gain access without needing to be authenticated, found in my contribs area (http://mirror.contribs.org/smeserver/contribs/cbharda/)
