Title: sarg user reports
Post by: Del on June 05, 2003, 12:58:14 AM
Hi All,
I have SquidGuard and Sarg reports installed on my SME5.5 server and I was wondering if there is a way to list computer or user names in the Sarg reports instead of the IP address?
Thanks in advance,
Del

Hi,

Off the top of my head you would edit something in the /etc/sarg/sarg.conf. Remember you might have to create a template to change the settings.

Sorry cant be of more help

Cheers

SARG just reads the squid logfiles.  If the information you're looking for isn't in /var/log/squid/access.log then sarg won't see it.

You'll have to modify your squid configurations a little.

You might take a look at this case study which involved configuring squid authentication to get the usernames into the squid logs.
