Title: Can't delete directories, can delete files
Post by: Matt on June 08, 2003, 03:17:58 AM
I have a problem where a user can create a directory on the server I-bay from a Linux Client (Mandrake 9.1), but cannot delete it. Files within directories can be created and subsequently deleted however. Any ideas..?

Sounds like there are hiddens files that the user cannot delete. I suggest going in through your console and using Midnight Commander to view and delete the files/directories.

Hi Matt,

I have a mixed env of 30 x w2k, w98 & mandrake 9.1 clients hooking up to a sme5.5 box. I've had no problems like this.

The mandrake boxes authenticate directly with the SME server, are you doing this?
