Title: permission denied error. help
Post by: SSBN on June 10, 2003, 09:19:52 PM
I am trying to install squid guard. I but the unzipped files in the /home/e-smith/files/primary/files/sg3 directory. When I type in “./install.sh” I get this error

Bash: ./install.sh: /bin/sh: bad interpreter: permission denied.

What is this is it something with the program or is it something with SME.

Did you open this file, modify it, and then save it in Windows then move it over via Samba?  It appears it could be a CrLF/LF issue.

Try downloading the application directly onto the SME box and try installing it from there.

Hope this helped,
Nathan
