How do you update the esmith server files with out reformating it?
-
I believe, starting with the later 4.0 betas, that you can do an update by entering "update" instead of "accept" at the first prompt.
(Or is that "upgrade"? I don't recall of the top of my head, but I'm pretty sure its one or the other.)
Don't think you had the option prior to the 4.0 betas.

It's "upgrade".

Correct. and the feature is still considered "experimental", and will not be promoted by e-smith for the 4.0 release. FYI, though, I have not had a single problem with it during development, and it uses the very well tested RedHat upgrade process. Of course, YMMV. Be sure to backup first.
