Title: Time Server
Post by: Henry on July 12, 2000, 05:35:40 AM
Where do I point my workstations to get time synch data. I tried the ip of the server (192.168.1.1) but no luck.
I have the server polling a time server on the internet and would like to synch the rest of the network.

TIA..

are you using nt or 95/98 workstations?  log-on server?  if you have an nt log-on server, you can have the e-smith box get the time from the net, then point your log on box to the e-smith box, then run a log on script using 'set time' command on all of your workstations.

there is probably an easier way,  but this is how i do it.

I'm running win95/98 clients and was trying to use a small freeware app that I use to check time on the internet. I wanted to point it at the e-smith server instead of an atomic clock site. I don't know where to tell the app to go to get the time stamp.
