I am building a new server for a customer of mine, Does anyone have a guess as to when 6.0 will be out of the beta stages and released? I may just wait and install 6.0 and not mess around with 5.6 if it will not be a long wait.

V6 will be released when it essentialy bug free.
Mitel are usually tight lipped on progress and seldom will announce an actual date.
Experience has shown that these release are usually soon after the betas.
Patience or V5.5 or V5.6. V6 sounds worth the wait, I'm sure it wont be long.

thanks for your input, I know they want to work out all the bugs. I believe i will wait for V6 to be released as I have used the beta2 version myself and am very happy with it and I do not feel like upgrading later on.

Please remember that the "unsupported developer release" is just that, even
when it does come out of Beta.
If you would like to use the server for a customer, you should use our supported
commercial 6000 MAS release at http://www.mitel.com/6000MAS/
This includes many additional features, including Spam filtering and virus scanning, and is fully supported by Mitel and Mitel's resellers.

Hi Gordon
Well I don't know if anybody else has the same problem but when ever I try to go to the www.mittel.com site I get a message back saying the site cannot be found.
IIRC I tried it a week or so ago and it was the same then.

Gordon, I originally planned on doing that, however when I filled out an information request form. I never recieved a reply back.---That was several months ago, I'm not even sure the customer could afford to purchase the software, thats why i filled out an information request form, but having never recieved a reply back I decided to use the free version.

www.mitel.com is most certainly up and running and accessible.
I suspect you have some form of DNS resolution problem at
your end.
If you are still having issues, please contact webmaster@mitel.com,
including details of the address you see when you look up www.mitel.com

Thanks for the report Andrew - I'm chasing what happened to
your request. In the meantime, I will contact you off-forum for details.

Hi Gordon,
Thanks for the info.
I have also posted requests twice at your site concerning the commercial version (now several months back) - but got no response.
Should I try once more - or can you redirect me??
Kind Regards

I will contact you off-phorum. We are obviously having some difficulty with the
request form, which I am trying to chase.
Thanks,
Gordon
