Title: executing a cgi script

HI.

Im knew to SME. Im setting up an Intranet for my school using version 5.6. I cant find the directory in which to execute some CGI script. In FTP i can see the CGI-BIN directory. When i log on a root and go to the console i cannot find its location in order to chmod etc. I know im doing something really stupid. Can someone please assist. Thank you.

the cgi-bin dir for the "primary" ibay can be found at

/home/e-smith/files/primary/cgi-bin

but to experiment with you should probably create an ibay and enable the option to allow "Execution of dynamic content (CGI, PHP, SSI):"  for that Ibay. You can then call cgi-scripts from the cgi-bin for that ibay. The path to the cgi-bin would then be

/home/e-smith/files/ibays/ "ibayname" /cgi-bin
