Title: Default share???
Post by: James Barber on July 09, 2003, 03:43:24 AM
Hi,

Can anyone tell me which file I need to edit to make the server automatically set the users home drive to I:?

At the moment it is defaulting to Z:

I have set up netlogon.bat to map to drive I: but it still maps to Z: as well. I know you can 'cheat' and delete the share at the end of netlogon.bat but I would prefer to stop the server doing this in the first place.

I also know you can add a line to configure this in etc/smb.conf but this is apparently the wrong place as only the sme server is supposed to edit this file.

I have seen somewhere on the forums, something about creating a custom conf file, something to do with the number 11 ???

How do I do this?? What needs to be in the file???

Thanks in advance

James

James.... did you find your answer?  I've just experienced the same problem, and this post was the first one I came across.

Thanks.
