Title: Error Message: What to do?
Post by: Brian Hand on July 17, 2003, 05:47:36 AM
Hi Guys,

I have just upgraded from 5.5 to 5.6 and now keep getting a continuous error message on the console  - it does not appear in /var/log/messages and I am not sure what it means or where to start looking to fix it.

can anyone help?

the message is:

setuidgid: unable to init /usr/local/bin/multilog permission denied

Any malfunction of Mitel supplied software should be reported in detail to smebugs@mitel.com.

i had that problem when i set up SME 5.6 the first time.

there is a contrib that send these messages to the console 6.
its name is like "console-sys-log" .
sorry, i don't remember its exyct name.

search the forum for "console log".
