I've used one under Red Hat, and I think that the chip is a Realtek 8139.  The driver was called 8139too or perhaps R??8139too.

I've ran into something similiar, but with the Broadcom 440x 10/100 Integrated driver. I can't find one for Novell and the Red Hat 9 install tonight doesn't seem to have one either. Anyone know of a way to get around this problem or if there is a compatible driver under a different name?

Which driver is that? Would that be for the Novell or for SME?
