HELP....upgrading to 5.6 and hangs at create filesystem on reboot.
Hi,
I'm helping another school upgrade to 5.6 for proxy and Dansguardian. Last year when I did this we ran into the "E-Smith UP" thing where I had to go a reconfigure LILO to select "E-Smith UP" as the default "kernel?" and then it would boot fine. Today...I erased the drive using delpart and installed 5.6. The installation goes OK and when it reboots for the first time....it hangs where it is creating filesystem and quotas. Any ideas? Is it related to the problem I had before (after all it is the same hardware). Is there something I can edit to load a different kernel or boot option?
Please help...I'm desperate....need to get them up and running today.

Man alive, if I'm not recommending Ghost I'm pushing drive wipe utilities. Just call me "Johnny Two-Note." Maybe delpart didn't do the trick ... get your drive maker's utility disk or another wiper and write zeroes to that drive. I'll bet that takes care of it.
