Title: Recommended Tape Backup
Post by: Roy Davies on July 31, 2003, 02:11:15 PM
Hi,

I have a system with a 120 G harddisk and am thinking of purchasing a tape backup that can take care of the whole lot in one go.

What is to be recommended that people have good experience of and seldom gives problems to the unwary?

/Roy.

I have a good experience with VXA-1 (33/66Gb) and VXA-2 (80/160Gb) drives.
Unexpensive and perform well. We use then with TapeWare software -commercial programm, but for single server you will pay only $99.

Thanks - I shall look into these.  Do they work with flexbackup?

They do, but some tweaking may be needed.

Hi,

OK, I bought a VXA-2 (80/160Gb) drive and installed it into the computer, but how do I get the system to recognise that there is a tapedrive?
