Wireless is almost new for me and after a couple of hours searching I give it a try here...
I'm running SME Server 5.5 wchich is connected to 5 wired computers.
I want to connect an Ipaq 5550 and Compaq Armada (with Belking 54g card) true a Belkin 54g Accespoint to SME server.
I won't get acces to Internet or SME server.
Any suggestions?
Appreciate any help
Eric

I use the same access point on my SME 5.6 and it works fine. Have you changed the IP address in the access point to one in the range you are using on your SME? THats the only thing I can think of thats causing the problem.
Hope that helps

The IP adress is in the same range...
I get connected to SME Server true the wireless connection but still no internet connection. Seems an dns error?
Perhaps the wrong settings in Explorer but which one?
Any idea?

I can connect to Server Manager true wireless but still see nothing in Network true Explorer.

I'm not sure what else it could be. The only other thing that I changed was to disable DHCP in the access point. Other than that it ran perfectly first time. I did find there was a new flash upgrade for it which I applied. It gave the access points a lot more features but mainly for people that wanted to hang it directly onto a cable or ADSL modem for NAT sharing etc.
I hope you can get it running soon, you should be very pleased with the performance, I know I am.
All the best

Ian,
where did you disable the dhcp in the accesspoint?
i've updated the european software to 2.00.01 of the belkin

Hi Eric
For me I was able to click on the option fromt he very first screen of the accees point.
My versions are as follows:
Version Info
Firmware Version 2.00.04
Boot Version 1.03.08
Hardware F5D7230-4
Maybe finding and changing that will do the job for you
Good luck

Hi Ian,
Perhaps it's both the hardware and software...
Hardware: F5D7130
Firmware: 2.00.01 (newest for europe)
Boot version: 1.03.08
No option to disable dhcp
Arghhh...
Still strange that I can connect to server manager but no internet or network

From my point it seems to be a routing problem.
Could you describe the network (IP network) more in details.
And I suspect that the belkin can act as an router/NAT or an pure AP (bridge) could you please tell us how the belkin is configured.
