Title: Primary Web Page

Hey guys... I set up a server for a friend to host a home domain webpage on.  Works fine.  Except he can't update the contact on the web page.

ie: he can't modify the primary content on the server.  At the moment, he zips it up, emails it to me, and I, as the administrator, put it in place.  He would like to be able to, and so would I.

I'm guessing it's a group/permissions solution, but how would I do that?  

If his name if Bob, I would like to make a group, PrimaryAdmins, and add him to it.  Then, modify the permissions on the files in the primary folder so that group can modify them.

Upgrade to 6.0b3 plus updates. You can then provide the primary domain website from any i-bay, and set the permissions as you like.

Hi Charlie,
Does this mean you are now recommending 6.0b3 to be used in production servers? Are all the bugs sorted?

You are free to make your own choice of version. I won't advise you one way of the other. I am running 6.0beta.

It would be a brave software developer who ever made that claim.

That would probably work, but I'm trying to leave the server intact.  What I was thinking was more of the following:

Create a group, with only him in it, or him, and admin.  Change the permissions on the primary folder (and the folders under it) to allow that group access.  

Not knowing exactly how to change permissions in Linux, correctly, I wanted to ask you guys.

Can't see where I can assign an ibay to be in place of the primary one - any ideas anyone?

Any help much appreciated.
