Title: Virtual Domains and E-mail
Post by: Doug P. on July 20, 2000, 11:50:00 PM
I've managed to setup a virtual domain in e-smith 4.0, but I don't know how to add email addresses for that domain. For instance lets say my primary domain is foo.homeip.net and my email address is doug@foo.homeip.net. If I set up a virtual domain name like bar.homeip.net how would I setup doug@bar.homeip.net?

It is set up for you already. Mail for both doug@foo.homeip.net and doug@bar.hompeip.net is delivered into the mailbox of the account "doug".

In 4.0, the virtual domains are virtual domains only for the web interface. For mail, they are really domain aliases - there is only a single set of valid email addresses which is shared between all the domains. This will change in a future release - at the moment we haven't decided how. If you'd like some input
on that, please post your requirements to the developer mailing list - devinfo@e-smith.net.
