Hi
Is there currently any antivirus product for e-smith? Or do some of the commercial product work with it ie Norton Mcafee etc?

Thanks

As far as I know there is not.

All of those products require customisation of the mail transport agent configuration of your server anyway, so they are only part of the solution.

We will be discussing the future program for e-smith within the next week. Providing support for virus scanners will undoubtedly make it onto the list.

Note that you do not need to provide anti-virus protection for e-smith itself, and even if the e-smith server is scanning all incoming email, you will still need anti-virus protection on your desktop machines themselves.

Many Windows based Anti-Virus programs (including Norton) allow the scanning of network drives.  All you need to do is map a drive letter to one or more of your e-bays.  Of course, this will only allow you to scan the files saved in an e-bay.
