Title: postgresql
Post by: bruce on September 02, 2003, 06:16:30 PM
please help.

Has anybody succeeded in having the postgres server start on e-smith 5.x at boot with the -i option effective and allowing phpPgAccess etc workstation connections without having to physically shutdown the postgresql service and restart the postmaster after boot completion.

If so please share the secret, I'm slowly drowning.

Thanks

solved the problem.

Created a new init script shutting down postgres service and restarting the postmaster service with the appropriate switches.  Dirty but it works.
