Hi!
I've recently installed SME 6.0 beta3 on our server, and it's working nicely though I've got problems establishing PPTP VPN's between client machines (W2k) and the SME. If there's anybody who can enlighten me in these questions, I'd be very greateful:
* Is PPTP VPN's supported in 6.0, or do do you have to run IpSec VPN's?
* When i try to connect from the client computer i get an error message stating that certificates are missing. I suppose the SME is looking for IpSec certificates on the client machine. Can I get these certificates somewhere else (if this feature is disabled in the SME developer version ), or can I configure the SME to run PPTP (without IpSec)?
* In the MAS manual, references are made to certificate downloading and revoking controls in the server-manager. I can't find anything like that in my installation. Is the IpSec feature only available for commercial licenses?
Best regards, Stefan

sme 6b3 only supports pptp 128 bit. tell your clients to only use pptp and make sure that the user you are connecting as is allowed pptp access (they arent by default). Also check pptp access is enabled under remote access. Finally portscan your servers external nic to see if port 1723 is open
cheers
