Post by: Howard on September 09, 2003, 10:57:49 PM
Hi,

Can anyone point me in the right direction for installation instructions for Mindterm?

I have tried to links to Darrell Mays page and it is not there.

Thanks

Found it... Thanks alot for your help.

I can't use port 22 from work so thought this would be a good workaround to allow access. I guess it will just go out on the standard port 80.

It still uses port 22  as it is a Java applet that is downloaded to your pc via a web browser and then runs as a ssh client locally so it still will not work. You could change the port that ssh listens on to one that will go through your firewall.

Thanks...

I have tried changing the port to 23 - telnet - as I know this works from work.. However I can't get the firewall to open the port. I have used the port opening contrib - but when I use a port scanning website it shows the port as closed. When I close the port using the port opening contrib and then port scan, the port does not appear...  Any ideas? I have searched through the forums and can;t find an answer

Thanks

Try allowing SSH in the Remote Access panel on the Server Manager.

geoff

Thanks... I have enabled that.

I have now managed to change the port.. What I have noticed though is when I bounce the box - the port resets back to 22
