Title: Problems sending internal email
Post by: Adam Robertson on September 18, 2003, 08:43:00 PM
Hi all,

I'm having pretty much the same problems as described in this thread...
http://forums.contribs.org/index.php?topic=5671.msg20074#msg20074

We use an externally hosted Exchange server (yuk!) @ mail.randommedia.co.uk, our 5.6 SME server is work.randommedia.co.uk. Any email sent from the SME server to *anybody*@randommedia.co.uk ends up getting stuck on the SME box and never getting out to our real mail server (emails to other domains are going fine)

The result of a DIG on the SME box shows that it thinks it is the valid email server for the randommedia.co.uk domain. How can I change this and get it to send mail directly to the external, valid email server?

Cheers in advance,
Adam Robertson

In the server manager, try delegating all mail to a "secondary" or "external" mail server on one of the email settings pages.
