I have experienced a few times now that a few changes made to settings in server-manager had simply vanished a few days later. Recently this happened after a power failure the day after I changed some settings (adding a user account, a pseudonym and email forwarding settings), so I suspect that settings are only stored properly when the system shuts down.
If so, can I run or restart a certain service to make sure that all settings are safely kept also after a power failure or recovery from a crash?
This could then be done in a nightly cron job.
The server runs SME 5.5.
Thanks,
Loek

Sounds like this bug

There's also one that causes the pseudonyms to disappear.
You need to upgrade to v5.6 to fix these
