I use my e-smith box to download files from the internet thanks to the wget command.
Thanks to wget I have downloaded the ISO files for SME 5.6 and SME 6.0.
However when I try to move those files to my winxp box
(for using Nero for cdrom burning) although the download seems to work fine,
it doesn't. I have used unsuccessfully tried both winscp and wsftp.
The md5sum check tells me everything is OK on the file in my SME box,
but when the download finishes. The md5sum check fails in my windows box.
I am really fed up and stucked with this, so I decided to place a comment
on my issue here, looking forward to receive some help.
Thanks for your help in advance

Why not just use Samba, and copy them from an ibay or your home directory?

When you're using winscp/wsftp, are you transferring the file in binary or ascii mode?
If you're doing it in ascii, that's your problem, this is a binary file so use binary mode.
As Dan says, you could also use Samba, but I'm curious as to why WinSCP didn't use binary mode.
