Title: ftp
Post by: John on September 28, 2003, 04:54:24 PM
I have enabled my users via group and ibay password assignment to access their ibay to modify their website...it is working great like everything else with this server but I do have one concern.   I don't like the fact that a user accessing his/her ibay via internet ftp has the ability to view the names of all the other ibays.

Please tell me there is a fairly simple way to remedy this issue.

Thank you.

There's a chroot add-on available from Dungog.net that allows you to "lock" a user in an ftp path of your choice.  Take a look for it there, or maybe contribs.org will locate it too.

Thank you very much... dungog has some great stuff.  This FTP user root redirection rpms works great.

Thank you again.

Hi,

I just posted this about the same issue:
http://www.e-smith.org/bboard//read.php?v=t&f=3&i=38162&t=38162

So do you know whether this will also protect my Gallery albums from being viewed with other domains on the server?

Thnks

Morten
