Title: DNS Error
Post by: Jimbo on October 03, 2003, 06:02:27 PM
I keep getting this error a lot, is it likely to be an issue with demon's dns or the SME box?

fetchmail: couldn't find canonical DNS name of pop3.demon.co.uk
all mailserver name lookups failed, exiting

System details:
# uname -a
# Linux pybe-netserver 2.4.18-5smp #1 SMP Mon Jun 10 15:19:40 EDT 2002 i686 unknown

Where do you find that error string?

Can't find it in my /var/log/mailog going back to the end of August. I'm not on dialup though I connect to Demon via an always on(*) broadband connection.

(*) Well nearly always on, but even when it's down I don't see that error, indeed I don't see any errors which is why I ask where you find that one.

Cheers
Dave.
