I know this point is threaded serveral times!
I use sme 6.03B
I wanna setup a quake 3 server on it!
What files do i need?
I searched the forum many times and i couldnt find a thread with this info!
Or is there a good how to on the net?

First post on here points you to a howto for installing the server. Took me all of oh 2 mins to find it using the SEARCH feature in these forums. A little bit of effort on your part before asking will generally get you more responses. People get fed up answering the same questions over and over when all people have to do is a little research.

its for ut,hl,cs dod,ut2003
its not for quake 3 arena.

And i realy searched this forum well before i posted this thread!
btw that how to is a great how to setup ut/hl servers.
i know its bugging ppl to ask the same questions over and over again, but i realy wanna know this and i coulndt find a thread witha how to for quake III Arena

Hi Ron,

I have been contemplating the idea to install a quake3 arena server myself. I agree with you that info provided in this forum is not quake specific but then again this is no quake support forum ;-)

check out this link it may help you on the right track! It is not a e-smith specific howto but hey it's redhat based.

i also wanna fix a q3a svr, this toturial u gave me looks simpel!
Anyway
so i need 2 use a quake cd before i can install a svr?

Wel to tell you the truth I haven't installed it yet. It's still on my todo list.
From what I've read it seems it that the cd is required in order copy the pk3 files.


I'm planning of following this howto on a test server, I'll keep you updated!
