Title: Squid and such
Post by: Zoran on October 15, 2003, 07:20:37 AM
I am a relatively new user of sme 6.0B3.  It's completeness as a server solution are what attracted me.  While it works great for my uses, I was wondering if anyone knew why the server manager just doesn't seem as complete as 5.6's.  There is no spam tool configuration, no squid administration gui, etc.

Is this something that will be introduced at the version matures?

But so far, I definitely like what I see.  It's fantastic!

My guess is that the version 5.6 server-manager you were looking at either had additional RPMs installed or that is had ServiceLink.

The unsupported versions do not have these features installed by default.

I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong.

I'd agree, it is a fantastic distro.

Or you could pop over to http://contribs.org and find what you need for nothing as developers created rpm's to work with SME.

For squidguard do search on here for a gui

Also try spamassasion.

Hope this helps
