Title: Amavis-ng problem.
Post by: Fernando on October 20, 2003, 01:55:05 PM
Hello, I have a problem with the ClamAv antivirus. All the messages that I try send the Antivirus puts it on the directory /var/spool/amavis-ng/problems.

In the log file of the message, the error is :

Oct 20 13:00:20 ferran amavis[14301]: AMAVIS::AV::CLAMD: Cannot connect to /var/lib/clamav/clamd.sock.
Oct 20 13:00:20 ferran amavis[14301]: Error while scanning for viruses with AMAVIS::AV::CLAMD:
Oct 20 13:00:20 ferran amavis[14301]: AMAVIS::MTA::Qmail: Freezing message
Oct 20 13:00:20 ferran amavis[14301]: Quarantining infected message to /var/spool/amavis-ng/problems/3f93c044-3
7dd

I see in the path "/var/lib/clamav" and I haven't the file clamd.sock thet refers in the log.

Thanks for your help.

I've had this a few times when I've rebuilt and installed Clamav.

The solution for me was to uninstall Amavis and Clamav and re-install.

I folowed the same instuctions each time. ????
