Hi

'make' and the development tools are not installed due to the potential security risks of having them on a server.

You can install them but in doing so you compromise the integrity of the SME security.

If you have another box, set it up with the relevant redhat utilities. But preferably do not do so on a production server.

As for MRTG try http://ftp.falsehope.com/home/gomez/mrtg/ and select the
mrtg-2.9.25-1.7.2.i386.rpm  for download as this is the most likely candidate for a redhat install.  Mind you, I have not tried this, just looked it up for you.

cheers
Tony

Hi Toni,
Can I install 'make' command for temporary use, then uninstall it (how) after I finished installed mrtg?

What do you recommend to the best way to install mrtg on my SME server?

Thanks a lot.
