Title: ISP Dial up modem connection
Post by: Dan Williams on October 22, 2003, 06:31:43 PM
Hello,
Can someone point me in the right direction where I would configure a dial up internet connection setting on the E-Smith.
I need to know the location to enter:
ISP Dial Up Phone#
ISP Acct User name
ISP Acct Password

I have dialmon installed, and dungog ispconnect installed on the SME Server.

I have an external modem.
I wisht he client had Hi-Speed but they don't, they are in the country.

We have two windows XP PC's behind this SME that we want to share internet with through the SME.

Thanks

I don't know about the Dungog stuff but you configure the dial up info when you configure your machine. Log in via SSH or Telnet as admin then select Configure This Machine - you will be asked how you connect to the internet - just select dial up

Thank you Gary,
As usual the obvious choices are always the last.
I have been through that screen a hundred times and this is the first dial up pc so never paid attention to it.
Again, thank you.
