Does anybody have a doc that gives a step by step instruction on how to setup a point to point connection between 2 dedicated SME 6.3 servers. I want to be able to drop a box in a new location that will allow the users secure connetion to the resources in the corporate network site on the fly...

On the SME server, just be sure to enable VPN connection under the usermanager menus, and allow for at least 2 vpn connections in the remote connection menu on the SME server.
Then, for the clients there are many websites that explain the process, but here is a link to one one the e-smith.org site.

Good luck and don't forget to follow-up with the forum on your progress, this help others who are searching the web for the same questions!!

I don't think that's what Mr. Gaylord is asking; I think he's looking for a LAN-to-LAN VPN, as provided by the various FreeS/WAN contribs, rather than PPtP VPN. I could be wrong, however.
The paid, supported SME with ServiceLink does this right out of the box. Otherwise, it's install FreeS/WAN on the two machine, establish the VPN link and bob's your uncle.

Correct, I am looking for LAN-to-LAN VPN. I'll check out the FreeS/WAN. Thanks

Who would I need to contact for the paid/supported ver. SME?
