Title: Mailboxfiles v4.1.2 vs. v6b3
Post by: Tor Tveitane on November 06, 2003, 09:38:18 PM
Hi,

I plan to install a SME server v6b3 from scratch and create the users manually (btw. does it exist an option to create users from a script)??

I need to copy all their email messages from the old to the new server (they're using IMAP).  Would there be any problem?  Are 4.1.2 mailfiles and folders compatible with v6b3?

Thanks for info, hints and pitfalls

Tor

Hi,

For moving IMAP email, you might want to try this instead of manually copying:

For creating users, do a search for the Lazy Admin's toolkit. You might find it incompatible with 6b3 and/or 4.1.2 though.

OK, I'll take a look, however I would also like to know the answer to my original question:  Are 4.1.2 and 6b3's mailfiles and folders compatible?

regards

No; at a minimum, the directory structure is different.
