Title: Primary site CGI-BIN
Post by: Del on November 11, 2003, 07:52:30 AM
Hi All,
Sorry for all the questions, but can someone tell me if the cgi-bin is enabled for the primary web site by default? Or do I ahve to enable it? If so how do I enable it.
I can see how to do it to the i-bays but not the primary.
Regards,
Del

You will find the CGI-CIN catalogue at

/home/e-smith/files/primary/cgi-bin/

and that's the CGI-BIN for webroot.

Hi Ergin,
Thanks, do you know what the permissions should be for these to execute?
The reason I am asking is that I have a test server that I am having trouble executing a simple script that executes OK on my live server. If I connect to /home/e-smith/files/primary/cgi-bin/ on the test server with winscp I have a file called blocked.cgi but it that file is not on the live server. So I am assuming this is the reason that the script doesn't run. I don't just want to delete it in case it is there for a reason. The live server is 5.6 and the test server 6b3. Any help is appreciated.
Regards,
Del
