Title: Password protecting web-shared i-bay's
Post by: Auron on November 13, 2003, 06:24:50 AM
Hi,
I created an i-bay called "music" and I granted public access via web to the Entire Internet (password required) but when I am prompted for a password, I enter every possible user/password combination I can think of but it never authenticates.  Which username/password is it asking for?  Do I need to create a password file w/ htpasswd?  Help please!

You have to create a password for that ibay, in server manager ibay panel.
To use, you logon to the ibay using the ibay name and then the password for the ibay.

I'm sorry.  My finger slipped. LOL

I created a password for the i-bay but I still don't know what username it is asking for.  I tried several combinations with local accounts on the SME 6 server w/ the password but nothing will work.  Any ideas?

You have to ask yourself one question...?
What is the name of the ibay...???
That is the missing link...???
Use it as your username...
