Accessing config screens at 192.168.1.1/e-smith-manager works great.
Is it possible to enable this functionality externally as well? i.e. given a internet address of 200.200.102.111 I would like to access the manager like
200.200.102.111/e-smith-manager
Additionaly it would be nice to connect to it on a upper port using ssl.

YES! But do you really want to expose your e-smith-manager to the internet
and smart crackers? Check the remote access in e-smith-manager. Gulp!

Let's not get into a discussion about how wise or unwise this is, I am simply inquiring about HOW to do it. The remote access screen simply allows telnet/ftp access. I am interested in http access which is not manifested on the remote access screen.

well, the way to do it is to add another internal network and then put in your external ip address. If this is a dynamic ip address then it is harder. you will need to allow a range and that is not a good idea. But it does work. I have tried it.
the other option that I have used is having another redhat machine with vpn software that I log into and then I get to it from the internal side.
