Hi there
We are running E-smith 4.0. We have a WAN connection between two cities.
E-smith ip address is 196.240.100.200 - users on the other side with IP addresses 196.240.101.x are unable to recieve mail - error connection reported. They are able to ping the server.
What is the problem??? What access levels need to be changed???
Thanx

This is documented in the manual - look for "Local Networks"

hi there ...
Well I have read the manual but everything I have done seems to be right. The users on the other network are still not able to access the server.
In the local network settings I have add:
196.240.101.0 256 subnet 255.255.255.0
All they report is a smtp error ... and they cannot access the server!!!

OK - could you provide the exact error message - then we can
determine whether it is the email client or the e-smith server
which is displaying the error.

Hi Brandon,
It appears that the routing for the remote network has not been
properly configured. I've entered this as a development task which
will need investigation.
