Hola to all!
I have a test server box in which I would be interested to install the oracle db server.
Since, the installation of oracle needs of the xwindows, someone might indicate me how and that he would need basic files to be able to install the xwindows in the sme server?
Already that the sme server, for his characteristics, does not use any package of the graphical environment, since is not necessary.
Thank you.
Frederic.

Frederic:
I've messed with Oracle on Linux and have found the best way to go is with Redhat. Though SME is based on redhat, there's more needed than just X to get an oracle install going.
I had it up and working at one time and was in the process of isolating everything I'd need to move it to an SME setup but I wound up tearing that system apart when my main workstation suffered a failure and I needed parts.
Good luck, if you do manage to get Oracle running on and SME box, please post a how-to.

I found this guide. Try and set up and test server. And see if it would work
