I receive an e-mail to my admin mailbox on the e-smith server saying:
............................................................................................
Subject: Cron run-parts /etc/cron.daily
/etc/cron.daily/logrotate:
error: bad year 1994 for file /var/log/mysqld.log in state file /var/lib/logrotate.status
............................................................................................
When I open the file /var/lib/logrotate.status it looks like this:
............................................................................................
logrotate state -- version 2
"/var/log/diald/accounting.log" 2003-8-4
"/var/log/mysqld.log" 1994-9-24
"/var/log/named.log" 2003-8-4
"/var/log/xferlog" 1994-9-24
"/var/log/proftpd/*.log" 2003-8-4
"/var/log/rpmpkgs" 1994-9-24
"/var/log/samba/*.log" 2003-8-4
"/var/log/snmpd.log" 2003-8-4
"/var/log/squid/access.log" 2003-8-4
"/var/log/squid/cache.log" 1994-9-24
"/var/log/squid/store.log" 1994-9-24
"/var/log/wtmp" 1994-9-24
............................................................................................
May I change the date after the "/var/log/mysqld.log" from 1994-9-24 to the current date to get rid of these daily e-mails? Or is there another errorsource?
Best regards Tobias.

Did you try google? e.g.
http://www.google.ca/search?q=%22bad+year%22+logrotate
which finds:
