Title: Serial ATA support in SME 6.0
Post by: Uwe on December 03, 2003, 01:50:08 AM
I was wondering if the new 6.0 beta would be supporting Serial ATA drives. This would require the 2.4.21-ac4 or later kernel.

As these drives are becomming popular options it would be advantageous for SME to support them.

Our server has an Intel D865GBFL motherboard with built in SATA controllers. According to the Intel web site we need a later kernel than the one supplied in SME 6.0 as per my previous post.

Has anyone tried to replace or update the kernel in 6.0?
