Title: E-Mail Subscriptions to Forums here @contribs.org?
Post by: Jim Danvers on December 13, 2003, 04:12:15 AM
Silly question perhaps... but since the move to contribs.org, my inbox has been ~really~ quiet.  ;)  While thats all good and dandy - it is also a little weird.  I've actually gotten used to (if you can believe that) getting my daily deluge of e-mails from the (old) forums.

Can we still sign up to get 'em delivered like we could where they were previously hosted?  If so, where do I go and/or who/what do I subscribe to?  ;)

Thanks... ;)

They are currently working on this as we speak so bear with them and they should be ready soon.

Keep up good work CONTRIBS :-)

Does anyone know if there is an update in the status for forum subscriptions (for any forums other than developer)?

Yah.... I'm subscribed to it, and it says that when I try to resubscribe, but it does not send me any messages. Maybe if I unsubscribe, then resubscribe...

I've had the same problem, I subscribed to everything within days of it being moved over and the only thing that I get are the dev messages.

It's not a problem, it's a feature ;-)

Contribs.org hasn't been able to get the mail part working. Maybe it will be fixed in the new contribs environment that will be unveiled to us later this month, but unfortunatedly they have been more secretive about the whole process than M$ about Longhorn...
