Title: Help! Problem...

Hi,

since the last few days surfng websites hosted on my e-smith 5.6 box has become really slow, frequently timing out.  PINGS to the box are hit and miss, lots of timed out replies.  other hosts on the same network have a perfect ping response.

i feel there is something wrong with the box but have looked at the logs and can see nothing out of the ordinary. short of changing the hardware (drastic!) i dont know what to do.

Any suggestions appreciated.

Seems like a faulty local NIC in the SME box - run ifconfig and check for errors on the local NIC
