Title: eht0: something wicked has happened
Post by: keith silman on September 05, 2000, 04:03:10 PM
we are running e-smith 4 and this message appears before the ethernet card times out (D-link DFE-530TX).  We occasionally had the message on e-smith 3.1 but it did not crash.
what does the error message mean and why does it crash the system?

There is some scant information about "something wicked" at:

http://www.scyld.com/network/ethercard.html

It's some driver and/or hardware problem, but that's the best information I can give you. Sorry.
