The horde project consist of some more modules than just the webmail module. It is possible to install also some of the other Horde modules on the e-smith ?? (I tried but got the message that the modules required Apache 2.0 Can this be right ??)

Yes, e-smith uses 1.6 or something like that not sure how hard it would be to use this newer version as it could break something within e-smith

Have a look here => http://www.familybrown.org/howtos/imp321-upgrade.html
This is Dan Brown's howto for upgrading Horde/IMP on 5.6. It includes a section on adding some of the other Horde modules.
Works great as far as I can remember.

Interesting .. The SME 6.0 already have imp 3.2.1 Will try to install some of the other modules as decribed at the wep page.

Have tested a little bit. Did not find the files where they should be, but on this adress, I think:
http://www.familybrown.org/updates/RPMS/noarch/
Seems like they do not work with the sme 6.0, as far as I can se .. Wil try to run them on one sme 5.6. Guess that will work. Rather courious to see how it will be running. (Think the demosite at horde.org lookes great.)

Arne,
I have used Dan's RPM's on an SME b63 box, and they worked great. I have not yet tested them on the final release. Do not install any of the horde, imp, or turba rpm's. Install some or the rest of them (nag, mnemo, kronolith), and follow Dan's instructions.
I wrote a custom script to install the packages, and create some templates-custom directories. I can't remember the exact reason for this. There was something that you couldn't do when you used Dan's instructions. I'll remember just as soon as I get my test box set back up and install the packages per Dan's instructions, then install again using my script. If you can wait a couple of days, then I can provide more info. Or, you can e-mail me off-phorum and I will send you a copy of my script and you should be able to see and tell the differences.
