Title: Allowing External Access to WEBMAIL, but not to Web Server

Hi

Im looking to configure my server so that the webserver is purely an Intranet, but users will be able to access/pickup email via webmail from anywhere

is this possible?

Hi Colin,

Do a search on this forum first, I think you'll be able to get the answer you were looking for. I suspect you should look for blocking port 80 in the firewall. Webmail uses https which uses a different port number (465?)

I also had trouble a while back withactually opening port 80 so you might want to search that post and see if you can figure out the reverse ;-)

Should have thought of this  - especially as i am using an external firewall box, and forwarding port 80 to the SME Server!
